ED PALMER

Ed Palmer

Ed Palmer has over 30 years of professional experience in the auto industry, but has been fixing cars and motorcycles since he was 14. He bought his first car, a ’74 El Camino, at the age of 16 and that’s when the love affair began.

His first shop was a shed on the side of a mechanic’s shop when he was 20 years old, that’s where he started repairing, buying and selling Porsches. That grew to an 18,000 sq ft collision business.

In 2009 he decided to go back to his roots – his passion – Porsches. He opened Kundensport to focus on vintage Porsches and race cars. He loves the craft, the history and getting to know each car as an individual. Bringing the cars back to life in their perfectly imperfect states that they left the factory in. Studying the anatomy of the cars down to nuts, bolts and undercarriage brush strokes takes him back to a place in time when the craft came first. If the cars he builds look restored, he didn’t do his job. They need to look like they just rolled out of Stuttgart.

He also enjoys doing race support and meeting people, like German Race Car Driver, Marco Seefried, who raced one of Ed’s Porsche RSR race cars at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Ed specializes in Porsches, early 911’s, early turbos and early fiberglass race cars but has extensive experience in other exotic & vintage cars.
